WOW! Weekly Ocean Wonders - Shark Interaction
This week's WOW! Blog is taking a closer look at Tike & Tuna, our two youngest nurse sharks.
Coral World is home to quite a few nurse sharks in the Shark Shallows exhibit. These sharks are collected at a very young age and are kept until they have outgrown their home in the exhibit. We then tag the sharks and release them back into the ocean. Because they have grown in a protected environment they have a better chance of a successful life in the wild.
